Vision4ce
Representative – Defense & Security
Overview
Vision4ce, LLC is a U.S. veteran-owned small business headquartered in Severna Park, Maryland, founded in 2007 as a partner company to Vision4ce Ltd (United Kingdom). The company develops, integrates, and deploys solutions for real-time image processing, video management, and Electro-Optical (EO) system control. Their customer base runs from large DoD prime contractors and platform integrators to sensor system suppliers and government agencies — with end users in military, law enforcement, and security applications.
The Vision4ce product strategy is built around a COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) approach: delivering near-MILSPEC environmental performance using industrial-grade hardware at a fraction of the cost of fully compliant rugged processors. Products are fielded in air, land, maritime, and unmanned platforms.
ARS Technical Sales Corp represents Vision4ce in the eastern United States. Technical inquiries for Vision4ce products and integration projects are handled directly by Phil Gregor.
Products
GRIP — Rugged Integrated Processors
The GRIP family is Vision4ce's primary line of COTS high-performance embedded computers for image and video processing in harsh environments. GRIP systems are packaged in sealed, shock-isolated enclosures and are configurable for specific CPU/GPU combinations, video I/O, and interface requirements. Intel Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GPUs are standard; multiple variants address different size, power, and performance envelopes.
| GRIP Alpha | Intel Core i7 mobile processor; targeted at high-resolution imaging sensors with real-time processing requirements in rugged environments; extended operating temperature range |
| GRIP Delta | Intel Core i7 + NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti (Pascal); targeted at GPU/GPGPU image and signal processing in harsh environments; available with up to 32 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD |
| GRIP Delta LP | Low-profile COTS variant; high-end CPU and GPU processing; IP67 sealed enclosure with internal shock isolation; convection/conduction cooling |
| GRIP Epsilon | Targeted at applications requiring high-end real-time processing in harsh environments; GPU/GPGPU configuration; wide range of available video capture interfaces |
| GRIP Epsilon SAVP | 360° Situational Awareness Video Processor variant of the Epsilon platform; supports multi-sensor panoramic video processing and display |
Enclosure & Environmental
| Enclosure | Sealed, rugged aluminum; IP67 rated on selected variants; internal shock isolation |
| Cooling | Combination of convection and conduction cooling; no moving parts on selected variants |
| Operating environment | Air, land, sea, and vehicle platforms; shock, vibration, and extended temperature range qualified |
| Video I/O | HD-SDI, analog and digital inputs; DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort outputs; configuration-dependent |
| Interfaces | USB 3.0/2.0, Ethernet, RS-422/485/232, serial; PCIe internal expansion on selected variants |
TRUPER — Rugged Computing Systems
The TRUPER family extends Vision4ce’s rugged computing line with a modular, field-configurable architecture. TRUPER systems accept interchangeable electronics modules — frame grabbers, video processors, additional memory, and communications devices — via a removable enclosure design. TRUPER systems are installed across air, maritime, land, and vehicle platforms.
| TRUPER 104 | High-performance rugged computer for image, video, and signal processing; sealed enclosure; natural/conduction cooling; shock and vibration qualified for air, land, and sea platforms |
| TRUPER 110 | Intel Core i7 + optional NVIDIA GPU; PCIe expansion for frame grabbers and other modules; removable SSD; configurable for manned and unmanned platform installation |
CHARM — Compact VME Embedded Processors
The CHARM family provides compact embedded processing in standard VME formats for applications requiring backplane-based integration. Available in 3U VME and 6U VME form factors and custom sizes. Supports real-time image processing and video management within existing VME-based system architectures.
VPDU — Video Processing Distribution Unit
The VPDU is a standalone video processing board based on the NVIDIA Jetson TX2 — a multi-core ARM processor with integrated GPU. Designed to host the Vision4ce VMS software including the DART video tracking software. Available with HD and SD video interfaces in analog and digital formats. Primary host interface via Ethernet.
Software
| GRIP-VMS | Modular video management software suite supporting image processing, video surveillance, and situational awareness applications. Serves as the primary software platform for GRIP and TRUPER hardware. |
| DART | Field-proven real-time video tracker. Analyzes video sequences from one or more camera sensors mounted on servo-controlled pedestals; detects and tracks multiple targets simultaneously; controls platform position and rate to follow target objects. |
| DCX | Real-time HD compression and chain-of-custody encryption algorithm. Operates frame-by-frame at 30 fps on standard Intel, AMD, ARM, and Qualcomm processors under Windows, Linux, and Android. Designed for bandwidth-constrained transmission and encrypted chain-of-custody video applications. |
| 360° SAVP | Situational Awareness Video Processor. Provides real-time 360° panoramic view from multiple sensors in stationary or mobile environments. Customizable for new and legacy sensor packages. |

Why Vision4ce
Near-MILSPEC performance at COTS cost
Vision4ce’s product strategy is built around a deliberate trade-off: deliver environmental performance that approaches military specification — sealed enclosures, shock isolation, IP67 rating, extended temperature range — using commercial off-the-shelf hardware. The result is a significant reduction in program cost versus fully MILSPEC-compliant processors without sacrificing the ruggedization that defense and security applications require.
Fielded across every platform type
GRIP and TRUPER systems are deployed on air, land, maritime, and unmanned platforms. The environmental ratings have been earned in operational conditions, not only in qualification testing. For a program requiring hardware proven in comparable environments, that operational history is part of the specification.
Hardware and software from one source
GRIP-VMS, DART, DCX, and 360° SAVP are Vision4ce’s own software products, developed alongside the hardware they run on. Video management, target tracking, compression, encryption, and situational awareness capability come from the same organization that built the computing platform — eliminating the integration friction and support ambiguity that comes with mixing hardware and software from separate vendors.
Veteran-owned, US-based
Vision4ce is a U.S. veteran-owned small business. For programs with domestic sourcing requirements or small business participation goals, that designation is relevant from the earliest stages of system planning.
